
Banelec is a fast-growing business with ambitious plans for the future, so we’re delighted to welcome Steve Smith to our team to support the next exciting phase of our journey.
Steve joins as our new Business Development Manager, where he’ll be responsible for looking after our existing client base and identifying new markets, customers and opportunities to support our plans for growth.
He brings vast experience and expertise to the role, having enjoyed a long and successful career in the industry with some of its leading players, including Modular Automation, CH Bailey, V Installations and Expert Technologies Group.
Steve said: “I’m delighted to join Banelec at an exciting time for the business. I’ve worked alongside them in roles at my last two companies, where I was always impressed by the professionalism of Dean and the Banelec team.
“My new role gives me the opportunity to talk and listen to new and existing customers, see where and how we can fit in and look to solve any ongoing issues and problems they may have.”
Steve lives in Sutton Coldfield with his wife and their pet shipoo dog. He has four grown-up children. Away from work, he enjoys road cycling, cricket, 80s music and reading, especially crime novels. He’s also a season ticket holder at Aston Villa.
He is currently working at Edgbaston Cricket Ground as a volunteer an Events Coordinator at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
